Kittiwake Cottage is a luxury, self catering, coastal, holiday cottage
situated close to the South West Coastal Path in East
Prawle, South Devon. This coastal preservation area boasts
stunning scenery, with excellent beaches. It offers great walking,
water sports, bird watching and wildlife all within easy reach of
the cottage. The area provides a haven for one of Britain's widest
range of birds and the wild flowers growing on the cliffs are breathtaking.See
the East Prawle page for
more details about the coastal path.
The
cottage is a semi-detached, mid 19th century, white-washed fisherman's
cottage with excellent views over the valley to the sea. It's well
equipped, comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated in tranquil
seaside colours. Kittiwake Cottage has a double bedroom and an attic
room with two singles or a comfortable king-size bed. There's also
a camp bed and cot available for additional children. There's
a lounge (with log burner), kitchen, small dining room, bathroom
and garden. The cottage is light and airy; cool in summer and cosy
in winter. See The Cottage page for further information. Click

Kittiwake
Cottage lies on the seaward side of the village green in East Prawle.
Situated half a mile from the coast, near Prawle Point, this is
the most southerly village in Devon with a shop, café (closed
in winter) and a good pub. See
the East Prawle page for
more details.
Further
afield the South Hams, bounded to the North by Dartmoor National
Park also has a lot to offer; local towns and villages have superb
pubs and restaurants and a good range of interesting shops. See
the Local Areapage
for more information.
The
climate is very mild; the peninsula has its own micro-climate and
often bathes in sunshine when it's raining further inland. Spring
arrives early; summer lasts for longer; autumn is mellow and often
warm and sunny; and winters are mild. In short, this is an excellent
holiday location at any time of year. See the Through
the Year page for more information about this all-season location. |
